ADULTS 18+ · CLARITY & DIRECTION

Adult Psychological Testing

Sometimes you know that something is affecting your life, but you are not sure exactly what or whether there is a diagnosis that helps explain it. A psychological evaluation brings together your history, current concerns, and standardized assessment to develop a clearer understanding of your experiences.

Depending on your concerns, I may assess mood, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, personality, cognition, and other areas of psychological functioning. I also consider conditions that can look similar or overlap with one another, helping to clarify what may be contributing to your difficulties and what kinds of support or treatment may be most helpful.

THREE APPOINTMENTS

A clear assessment process.

01 /

Intake session

I learn about your personal history and early development, listen to your concerns, and identify the goals of the assessment.

02 /

Testing session

I use interviews and selected paper-and-pencil or computerized measures to explore cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and personality functioning.

03 /

Feedback session

I review the findings with you in depth, explain the diagnostic picture, and discuss recommendations. You generally receive a copy of your completed evaluation report.

Understanding yourself more deeply

An evaluation can explore how early experiences, temperament, and patterns of thinking relate to your current sense of self and relationships. I aim to make the findings understandable and useful, with recommendations grounded in your individual needs.
